UnFUCK24 is looking forward to your contribution!

Hello there!

The Unix Friends and Users Campus Kamp 2024 is looking for people who are interested in organising lectures or workshops.

The event will take place from 26.04. to 28.04.2024 on the campus of Furtwangen University. The event will open at 20:00, followed by one presentation.

Entries will generally take place from approx. 10:30 am to 8:00 pm on Saturdays and approx. 10:30 am to 2:00 pm on Sundays (start times). Afterwards, a game-like event is planned for Saturday at 22:00. If you are interested in organising one, please note that your contribution is a game. As the slots are limited, we cannot guarantee that your contribution will have a chance.

The topic of your contribution can be anything from the Linux/Unix environment, computer science or other chaos (in the sense of the CCC). We are also enthusiastic about other topics, but do not want to further limit which at this point. If you are interested in presenting a different topic, please write us a short pitch why it could be interesting for our target audience (for example in the description or the notes of your entry).

Support for speakers

As we are organising the event on an at-cost basis, we are unfortunately unable to offer any financial support or compensation for speakers.
We can provide content support for new and experienced speakers in the form of feedback on request.

A maximum length of 1.5 hours is planned for talks. In exceptional cases, slots can also be combined for longer talks, please contact us separately by e-mail and write a comment in your contribution.

Recording and streaming

At this point it is not yet clear whether and to what extent recording or streaming will take place. Nevertheless, please enter an opt-out under Recording if it is important to you that your contribution is not recorded in any way. If your contribution is recorded by us in any way, this data will be stored by us exclusively on UnFUG infrastructure and made accessible via our website. On request, recorded content can also be sent to the respective lecturer(s).

Participant registration

Please note that submitting an entry does not automatically register you for the event, because we use a different system. While entry is free, we ask that all people attending the event register for planning purposes. The participant registration is also where we do merch preorders (and the only way to get merch). In order to avoid confusion, we ask that you register at the registration on your own.
If the registration is not yet open when you submit your entry, we will send out a notification email to all speakers who have registered by the time we open participant registrations.

This Call for Papers closed on 2024-03-29 23:59 (Europe/Berlin).
